Q: Is it safe to purchase photos from The Greatest Bits?

A: Yes! The Greatest Bits collects no credit card or personal information. An electronic invoice is sent to your e-mail address as a PDF file. When the payment is received, the photos are delivered.

Q: How is the delivery of my purchased photo made?

A: The purchased photo is made available as a ZIP file for download. The file size depends on the photo, but is normally between 50 and 100 megabytes.

Q: How long is the delivery time?

A: During normal weekdays, invoice will be sent within 3 days and photo sent within 3 days after payment is made.

Q: Which image format is used?

A: Lossless TIFF is the standard format used. If you have any special needs, other formats can be delivered upon request. Camera RAW files is not available.

Q: Which color space is used?

A: ProPhoto RGB 16 bit is the standard color space used. If you have any special needs, other color spaces can be delivered upon request.

Q: What is the resolution of the photo?

A: Each photo is taken in 240 dpi, well suited for print. The physical dimensions of the photo varies from each photo.

Q: Is there a frame or a watermark attached to the photo?

A: There is no frame surrounding the photo, but there is an invisible watermark embedded in the photo. The watermark is invisible for the human eye, only readable by machines.

Q: Can I create a user account at The Greatest Bits website?

A: Not at the moment.

Q: Is it possible to buy physical prints of your photos?

A: Yes! Prints are delivered from our third-party print vendor Mafos. Special prices apply, depending on the desired print size. Size ranges up to A2 paper size. Prints are shipped in special containers especially designed to contain photos.

Q: Which license is used for purchased photos?

A: All photos are protected by international copyright laws. All rights are reserved The Greatest Bits. You may re-produce copies for your own, private use, both physically and electronically. You may not modify or alter the photos in any way. You may not distribute neither the original or copies of the photos to others. If you want to be able to distribute the photo, the web version available on The Greatest Bits website is licensed under the Creative Commons BY-NC-ND license.

Q: What If I regret my purchase?

A: As long as no deliveries are made, the purchase can be undone. If payment is made, a fee will be drawn from the original purchase amount to cover our bank transaction costs.

Q: Is there EXIF information embedded in the photos?

A: Yes! The EXIF information contains ie. camera and copyright information.
